We had our first big snow this week. When I looked at my bedroom window yesterday, I first saw my windowsill angel reminding me to thank the Lord for my blessings...
Then, looking past, I saw the landscape's beautiful transformation!
Despite the cold, I grabbed my camera set out for some shots of the snow.
This morning, however, I looked out to see that yesterday's beauty had been surpassed - the sun had came out today to leave the white landscape in a sparkling, radiantly beautiful mood!
My eyes were dazzled by the rays highlighting the beautiful layer of snow. I was amazed to see the beauty and intricate design of God's creation, so magnificently transformed. Thus, once again, early morning found me camera in hand capturing the same scenes - only they looked so much different this time.
"Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
Dost thou know when God disposed them,
and caused the light of his cloud to shine?
"Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?
Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?
Teach us what we shall say unto him;
for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness."
(From Job 37)
Thanks for sharing your pictures, Sarah. Snow is my favorite thing about winter. I can't get enough of it! ;-) We're currently experiencing our second big snow. The Lord blessed us with a white Christmas this year (or should I say last year?) - the first we've had in ten years!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Brianna! How wonderful to have a white Christmas.
ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeleteI chuckled when you said, "Despite the cold, I grabbed my camera set out for some shots of the snow."... Reminds of something Dr. John Morris said once, "A photographer will do anything to get a good picture"! :) I'm like that too! :)

WOW, Sarah, these photos are incredible. You have a lot of talent. I love your use of light in the shot with the rays coming through the branches. Really, great work.
