Fast Friends {Girl + Kitty}

I just met this sweet little girl. She is such a charm, with the brightest, most curious eyes.

When they sighted our fluffy stray kitty at the front door, she immediately "adopted" him and gave him lots of cuddly attention.

What a cute sight! I couldn't resist capturing the cuteness with my new camera {that's a forthcoming post}.

"Verily I say unto you,
 Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God
 as a little child, he shall not enter therein."
(Mark 10:15)

A Quiver Full {P. Family Portraits}

I looked forward to this photo shooting this family for a while. It was a fun challenge capturing the faces of each beautiful child. Capturing the beauty of large family life was a joy.

There's never a dull moment with children around, so during my time there I never lacked for photo opportunities. What a fun-filled shoot this was. I snapped tons and tons of pictures...in fact so many that I ran out of memory space! I will be more prepared next time.

"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD:
and the fruit of the womb is his reward
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them."
(Psalm 127)

Windowsill Friend

This tiny glass bird sits on my windowsill overlooking the snow...he is so delicate and beautiful! My brother gave him to me a few years ago.

"The works of the LORD are great,
sought out of all them that have pleasure therein."

Snow!

We had our first big snow this week. When I looked at my bedroom window yesterday, I first saw my windowsill angel reminding me to thank the Lord for my blessings...

Then, looking past, I saw the landscape's beautiful transformation!

Despite the cold, I grabbed my camera set out for some shots of the snow.

This morning, however, I looked out to see that yesterday's beauty had been surpassed - the sun had came out today to leave the white landscape in a sparkling, radiantly beautiful mood!

My eyes were dazzled by the rays highlighting the beautiful layer of snow. I was amazed to see the beauty and intricate design of God's creation, so magnificently transformed. Thus, once again, early morning found me camera in hand capturing the same scenes - only they looked so much different this time.

"Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
Dost thou know when God disposed them,
 and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

"Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?
Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass

Teach us what we shall say unto him;
 for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness."
(From Job 37)

A Window of Light

Do our lives shine forth the Light of Christ inside of us?

Are we transparent vessels for His use?

"We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the
excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."
(2 Corinthians 4:7)

Laborers for Christ {M. Family Portraits}

It was a joy to meet this beautiful family last month. They are overseas missionaries, and it was a blessing to hear about their work for the cause of Christ.

Such a cutie!

May God bless your family as you serve the Lord! This is my prayer...

"For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory,
to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;
 that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now unto him that is able to do
exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages,
world without end. Amen."
(Ephesians 3:14-21)

Adventure {L. Family Portraits}

Last weekend I enjoyed some time with friends who live nearby. It was time for family portraits...

Tyler
{Piano}

Denton
{Violin and Piano}

Brady
{Guitar}
Austin
{Trumpet & Harmonica}
It's always an adventure when you're around these young men with a camera. And so I try to capture the adventure!

These images were taken in RAW format, which I am learning to really enjoy using. It offers a lot more options when it comes to editing color tone.
