Happy 12th Birthday, Rachael! |
I vividly remember the excitement of the morning when my little sister at last arrived. I had prayed for a sister for many years, and was quite sure that this time, it would be a girl...
Twelve years ago early on Easter morning, I awoke with great excitement. Had the new baby arrived sometime during previous night? I lay there in my bed wondering for what seemed like forever - hoping that this was the morning! But I was so afraid to get up to see if our car was gone. If it was still home, I was going to be so disappointed because it meant she had not come...yet. I lay there, trying to gather courage. Finally I sat up in my bed and peered through the blinds out over the foggy city of Seoul. To my intense delight, the car was gone!! I remember scampering quickly to my little brothers' room and waking Nathan up to inform him of the exciting news.
Later that morning I met my little sister Rachael Elisabeth for the first time. She was born early on Easter morning and her name means "little lamb of God." My small, child-like faith in my heavenly Father was increased as I saw Him answer my request for a baby sister.
Rachael has been such a blessing to our entire family and has a servant's heart. It has been such a joy seeing her grow up into a sweet and caring young lady. We love chatting late at night and simply sharing life as sisters. Thank you Lord for the gift of family!
I love you Rachael! |

who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus,
after that ye have suffered a while,
make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you."

make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you."
